Human to Devil: roll odds, stat bonuses, and which race Anti Magic's demonic form needs.

Clover Time has five races: Human, Dwarf, Human-Dwarf, Elf and Devil. You roll them at the Hage Priest with Spins, and a regular Spin lands on Human 94.70% of the time, while Devil, the rarest and strongest race, shows up only 0.10% of the time (1.83% on a Special Spin).

Quick Start

What is a race in Clover Time?

A race is a set of passive bonuses (Health, Stamina, Mana, their regeneration, and EXP) that you roll and can reroll, separate from your grimoire.

What do you need to reroll?

Spins or Special Spins. Codes are the main free source.

What is the realistic goal?

Every race above Human has much larger regeneration bonuses, so the first non-Human roll is already a step up. Elf and Devil are long-term targets that usually take Special Spins.

What races are in Clover Time?

The odds and bonuses below are copied from the race cards on the official Clover Time Trello board, checked October 8, 2026. “Special Spin” is the rate when you use a Special Spin, which can only land on Epic or better, so Human has no Special Spin rate.

Race Rarity Spin rate Special Spin rate Stat bonuses (Trello)
Human Common 94.70% — Health Regen +5%, Stamina Regen +5%, Mana Regen +2.5%, EXP +5%
Dwarf Epic 3.21% 60.60% Health Regen +25%, Stamina +5%, Stamina Regen +25%, Mana +55, Mana Regen +7.5%
Human-Dwarf Legendary 1.43% 27.00% Health Regen +30%, Stamina +3%, Stamina Regen +40%, Mana +15%, Mana Regen +20%, EXP +15%
Elf Mythic 0.56% 10.57% Health Regen +30%, Stamina Regen +30%, Mana +30% and +120, Mana Regen +30%, EXP +25%
Devil Secret 0.10% 1.83% Health +20%, Health Regen +80%, Stamina Regen +80%, Mana +45% and +250, Mana Regen +40%, EXP +40%

The Human-Dwarf card is titled “Human-Dwarf” but calls the race “Half-Dwarf” inside the card, so both names refer to the same race. Mana bonuses come in two forms: a percentage and a flat amount (Dwarf gets +55 flat Mana only, while Elf and Devil get both).

Note: All race Mana Regen figures are disputed between sources. See the comparison below before you decide a race is “good enough”.

Which race is best in Clover Time?

Race power follows rarity: each step up the ladder adds bigger regeneration, Mana and EXP bonuses, which Destructoid describes as “a very linear choice”. Devil is the clear target, Elf is second, and Human-Dwarf and Dwarf sit in the middle. Gamepur’s race tier list reaches the same order, with Devil in S tier and Human as the race to reroll first.

The trade-off is in the details. Dwarf has no EXP bonus at all, so it levels slower than Human-Dwarf. Elf has the best Mana package after Devil, which matters if your grimoire leans on skills that scale with Power. For how races fit into an overall build, see the Clover Time tier list.

Why do Mana Regen numbers differ between sites?

The Mana Regen values are conflicting. The official Trello cards give one set of numbers, and both Destructoid and Gamepur publish values that are exactly double for every race.

Race Mana Regen on Trello Mana Regen per Destructoid and Gamepur
Human +2.5% +5%
Dwarf +7.5% +15%
Human-Dwarf +20% +40%
Elf +30% +60%
Devil +40% +80%

Unconfirmed: We could not verify which set the game currently uses. The Trello board is the developer’s own record, but guide sites may have read values from an in-game menu that changed since. The Elf card also lists “Mana [+30%]” alongside “Mana Regen [+30%]”, which adds to the confusion. Every other race bonus matches across all three sources.

Odds have shifted before too. An older Trello header card listed race rates of 91% / 5.4% / 2.7% / 0.9% / 0.2%; it was archived on September 27, 2026 and replaced by the per-card rates in the table above. If a video quotes a 0.2% Devil chance, it is using the retired numbers.

Do you need the Devil race for Anti Magic?

Yes, for its demonic form. The Devil race card states that Devil is “necessary for the anti-magic grimoire’s demonic form” and lists Horns V1, V2 and V3 on the same card. Anti Magic is the only Mythic grimoire and is rolled at the Grimoire Tower with Mana Crystals, not with Spins, so chasing that combination means farming two separate systems. The Grimoire acquisition guide covers the Tower side.

Unconfirmed: An archived Anti Magic card describes a Second Form you trigger with the G key once an energy bar fills. That card is no longer on the board, so whether the current game works the same way is unknown.

Elf Ascension is a different system. It is listed on the Battle Lightning grimoire card as a locked awakening still in development, and the board does not say whether it requires the Elf race.

How do you reroll your race?

Destructoid and Gamepur describe two ways to reach the race roll:

  1. Open the Menu (top right), go to Customize, then switch to the Rolls tab.
  2. Or walk to the Priest inside the church in Hage Village, the starting village.

Each roll costs one Spin or one Special Spin. Race, social class and trait share the same Spin pool, so read the Clover Time spins guide before you burn your stock on one category. The free source of Spins is codes, listed on the Clover Time codes page.

Two Robux products change how rolling feels without changing the odds. Skip Spin (159 Robux on the Roblox listing, October 8, 2026) makes every roll land instantly, and its description says “your results are the same either way”. Race Storage (129 Robux) unlocks one more slot to store a race. The default number of storage slots is not documented.

How many spins does it take to get Devil or Elf?

Assuming each roll is independent (the board does not say otherwise, and no race pity system is published), the average number of rolls is simply one divided by the rate:

Target Average regular Spins Average Special Spins
Dwarf about 31 about 2
Human-Dwarf about 70 about 4
Elf about 179 about 9.5
Devil about 1,000 about 55

These are averages, not guarantees. Some players hit Devil early; most need far more than a few code rewards.

Why isn’t my race reroll working?

You tried to roll at the Grimoire Tower

The Grimoire Tower rolls grimoires with Mana Crystals. Spins only work at the Hage Priest (or the Customize → Rolls menu), and they cannot roll grimoires.

Your Special Spin gave Dwarf again

That is the expected result most of the time. Dwarf takes 60.60% of Special Spin outcomes, so Special Spins guarantee Epic or better, not Elf or Devil.

Your spin code did not redeem

Clover Time codes require you to join the AnimeCore Studio Roblox group first, and they usually expire 2 to 7 days after posting. The codes page tracks which ones are still listed.
